Perfection and Free will

There is a constant struggle for balance between Perfection and Free will. Perfection implies that something is done in the best possible way, which limits the number of ways it can be done, and hence limits Free will. The moment a being reaches perfection, he is burdened with maintaining that perfection. What could be the motivation for a 'perfect being'? After all, he is perfect, and anything that he does (including nothing) would be perfect. So why should the being maintain that perfection in terms of his actions, when he already attained the state wherein, even with inaction, he can maintain that perfection?

The perfect being would have to maintain a balance. Sometimes, the perfect being may need to resort to inaction in order to be in touch with the perfection that associated with him irrespective of actions (independent of action) and resort to action to realize the physical manifestation of that perfection. The being has to maintain identity with the aspect of his being that manifests itself in action, in order to be motivated to carry out actions, and from time to time, detach from the aspect of his being that is timeless and independent of action.Further, the being would have to, from time to time, detach from the physically manifested aspect of his being to be aware of that timeless aspect of his perfection, in order to maintain that level of perfection in his actions.

Thus for a perfect being to physically manifest his perfection, he has to be prepared to carry the enormous burden of maintaining that perfection

It makes a lot of sense to me. Sometimes it makes me wonder if I am close to it! It makes me wonder too whether I'm doing perfect actions without being aware of it. These are just thoughts that came up in me as I read this entry.
