Responsibility

The truth is that the universe is a part of each and every human being, just as every human being is a part of the universe. The realization of this truth manifests as love and responsibility. Love, because everyone is but a part of us and we love others just the way we love ourselves. Responsibility, because we are all interconnected, and our thoughts and actions have an impact on others. To not take responsibility for events that affect us is to ignore the truth. Even a mere observer impacts that which is being observed, due to consciousness. We are not passive observers, but active participants in the game of life. Our thoughts and actions affect not only ourselves but others also. Recognition of this truth manifests as responsibility and commitment - towards our work - towards our duties and towards our role and purpose on earth.

People who take responsibility make a difference, not people who act as mere passive observers.
